This is "Lady Liberty". So many memories and emotions surface when I look at her. Independence day is one of the most memorable days of my childhood. We would go and visit my Grandmother who lived in Cedar City Utah. My mother would buy us four older girls identical outfits and then we were off to the Parade. The fireworks, the beautiful floats and of course the flag. I don't know about you but there seems to be a feeling on the fourth of July that is always present. A feeling of common ground and unity. A feeling of gratitude and peace. I wanted to capture that. The beautiful red , white and blue. Everything on her is handmade. From the crown to the flag. And once again, lots of tinsel and glitter.
